Your data, kept simple.

Last updated 2 October 2026.

  1. (01) Who's responsible

This site is run by Matt Skala, a sole trader trading as mpskala. I'm responsible for any personal data collected through it. Questions about your data go to hello@mpskala.com.

  2. (02) What I collect

What you send through the contact form: your name, email address, the subject you pick and your message.

Anonymous usage data: which pages are visited, where visitors came from, their country and device type, and how fast pages load. This can't be used to identify you.

This site doesn't use cookies, tracking or advertising, and doesn't build a profile of you.

  3. (03) Why I use it

To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to scope and deliver the project. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering messages sent to me.

Anonymous usage data is used to see which pages are useful and to keep the site fast.

You won't be added to a mailing list, and your details are never sold.

  4. (04) Who else handles it

Resend delivers contact form messages to my inbox. Vercel hosts the site, keeps short-lived server logs like IP addresses to keep it running and secure, and provides the anonymous usage and page speed data. Vercel Web Analytics doesn't use cookies, and visitors can't be identified from it. Both may process data outside the UK, under safeguards approved for international transfers.

Google Search Console shows which searches this site appears in. It works from Google's own search data and adds nothing to this site.

  5. (05) How long it's kept

Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted within 12 months. If we work together, project emails are kept for as long as the law requires for business records, usually 6 years.

  6. (06) Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it's used. Email hello@mpskala.com and you'll get a reply within a month.

If you're unhappy with how your data's been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

  7. (07) Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version goes on this page with a new date at the top.
